I visited the ramen shop Number Nine 09 in the east exit area of Soka Station for the first time. It was just after noon on a weekday, and while there was no line outside, the inside of the shop was bustling.

I’m also very curious about the mazesoba and kelp water, but since it’s my first time, I’ll order the rich tsukemen (1200 yen).

For the price, it felt a bit sparse with just chashu and seaweed as toppings, but the 250g of chewy thick noodles provides a high level of satisfaction even with a regular serving.
And the dipping sauce is thicker and richer than it looks! The amount is generous and served piping hot, so the common issue with thick-style dipping noodles where you run out of sauce towards the end doesn’t happen, and it doesn’t get cold even if served cold. In the end, I diluted it with bonito broth and drank it all.
I definitely want to try some of the other menu items as well.
