Yaeda Shrine in Ageo City is famous for its unusual festival called ‘Doroinkyō,’ where a retired portable shrine is covered in mud. It is also known for its blessings related to warding off evil and bringing protection from epidemics. The large zelkova tree on the grounds, estimated to be over 600 years old, is an impressive specimen.

It is very rare for koma-inu (guardian lions) to be designed as a parent and child. The way the parent has its paw on the child also gives off a strong sense of maternal affection.

There are several types of goshuin, but I previously received a golden, pre-written one (300 yen) featuring Hack Daijin as its motif.
