I finally got to visit 3931WORKS, which I had been planning to go to for about half a year. It’s near Ichinowari Station on the Tobu Skytree Line, and recently it might be one of the most popular shops in the prefecture.

The store is small, so the last time I checked, there was a long line of over 20 people. However, it seems that they have now introduced a system where you take a numbered ticket and are notified via LINE when it’s time to enter. Thanks to that, I didn’t have to wait outside in the cold for a long time, but in the end, I still ended up spending 90 minutes killing time…

Finally entering the shop, I buy a meal ticket. I order a large serving of soy sauce tsukemen with seasoned egg and kelp broth (1,290 yen).

Now, what came out was tsukemen that shone with an astonishing beauty. The toppings are simple, but each bowl—the one with the kelp water and the one with the dipping sauce—contains a different type of chashu.

The noodles are thin and firm. As suggested in the eating instructions, they are delicious on their own, with a sprinkle of salt, or dipped in the sauce.

The standout feature is the kelp-infused water, which is rich and smooth. It’s also tasty on its own or diluted with the dipping sauce. It’s no wonder this place is so popular. It’s also nice that despite its popularity, the prices aren’t ridiculously high.
