The long-established Western-style restaurant Akashia in Shinjuku also has a location inside Urawa Isetan. The last time I went to the Shinjuku store was over 20 years ago, and I barely remember it, if I’m being nostalgic at all.
Speaking of Acacia, I think of stuffed cabbage, so I ordered two stuffed cabbage stews and rice (1,251 yen). I think it used to be more reasonably priced in Shinjuku, but I guess it can’t be helped.
A very simple dish. The stew is quite light. The stuffed cabbage rolls are, as expected, tender and filled with plenty of meat, which I think makes them delicious. However, the cold water tastes like raw tap water! I wonder why no one thinks to use filtered water… It’s a shame.
