Camping with a view of the Arakawa River at Forest Suns Nagatoro (Nagatoro Town)

Last Updated on 2025年10月14日 by saitama-j

The long, intense heatwave has ended, and this is our first overnight camping trip in a while. The location is Forest Suns Nagatoro, and the site we used, number 7, is over 100 square meters, providing ample space even after setting up our tent (Morning glory) and tarp. The ground is covered with red brick chips, which drain water well, though it is quite hard, making it difficult to drive in pegs. There is an electric power supply.

One of the highlights of this campsite is the rocky landscape of the Arakawa River. You can see it from nearby, but it is not directly visible from Site 7. For those who want a river view, Sites 1 to 3 are recommended.

Dinner was waterless curry and other dishes.

At night, the lighting throughout the area was impressive. During the day it was 23°C, in the morning 16°C, and it felt a bit chilly at dawn, but this temperature is perfect for camping.

The kitchen area is kept clean, and hot water is available. In the back, you can see the toilet booths, and the toilets are equipped with bidets.

The upper floor of the building where this kitchen is located is a skateboarding area. During the day, you can hear rumbling noises, so it’s not recommended for those who are looking for a consistently quiet environment. Well, but staying on a Friday is nice because there are fewer families.

Another feature of Forest Sands Nagatoro is the variety of accommodation options. The cottages are large enough for 6 or more people, and each unit comes with a barbecue area.

Be careful, the administration building is on the opposite side of the road.

Around the administration building, there are neatly arranged lawns and trailer houses.
