　I visited Chok dee in Koshigaya City for the first time, and I came across a great shop. It’s a bit far, so I can’t go there to eat very often. Nearby, there are Koshigaya Plum Grove Park and Katori Shrine.

　Please note that there is no parking in front of the store. You can use the Century No. 6 Parking Lot near Kita-Koshigaya Station (next to Adachi Seiwa Shinkin Bank). You will receive a coin for post-payment when you settle your bill.

In addition to the daily special lunch, there is also the regular lunch menu.

Kuay Teow Luk Chin

This is Kuay Teow Luk Chin, a chicken broth rice noodle dish (710 yen → 770 yen). It’s loaded with cilantro, with a soup seasoned with fish sauce and tangy flavors, and flat noodles similar to pho, which go well with spicy dishes too.

Green curry with rice

I apologize for mentioning this after you’ve taken your portion, but this green curry is spicy yet mild and delicious! It also comes with a soup and coconut milk dessert. (950 yen → 990 yen)

　Not only was the taste good, but the service was also quick, and they frequently refilled our water, showing great hospitality. It’s easy to see why it was listed among Tabelog’s 2022 top 100 restaurants.

Phappettarae

　Revisited after viewing the cherry blossoms at Koshigaya Plum grove Park on February 17, 2024.

　On this day, I had the daily special lunch menu, a seafood curry called Phappettarae (990 yen), and it was also delicious! It was filled with lots of shrimp and squid, and it was quite spicy!

Thai Yakisoba

We also had the Thai Yakisoba (980 yen). This is a stir-fried noodle dish with flat noodles and a light seasoning, which I think goes really well when eaten with the spicy curry. As expected, every dish at Chok dee is delicious!

Half & Half

Revisited on June 23, 2024, to meet my eldest son who lives in Koshigaya. On this day, I ordered the half & half (950 yen), which was Gapao and Unsen (Thai-style glass noodles). These glass noodles were also delicious. The Gapao was spicier than expected! As anticipated, Chokdee was also well liked by my eldest son.

Pad Krapow Gai

Visited again on R7.10.4 and ordered the Pad Krapow Gai (950 yen) once more—consistently delicious. It’s wonderful that the price hasn’t increased for about two years despite the current times! If the price is the same, the half-and-half option that lets you enjoy unsen as well might be better.
